Maasai Daughters

Maasai Daughters A Project of Creative Visions Fiscal Sponsorship

In January 2015 With my Own Two Hands Foundation hired me to make a twenty minute documentary on Female Genital Mutilation and early forced marriage in the Maasai community of Kenya. My film Maasai Daughters raised a total of $77,000 for the Maasai girls.

During my time in Kenya I saw an opportunity to make a film about female genital mutilation and early forced marriage that I would bring back and screen in the different Maasai communities.

I was able to put some money aside and just left my full time job at Vice for this project. My team, film partner Graeme and local producer Fred will be filming for the months of November and December 2016. I still need to raise an additional $10,000 for the two month production of the film.

Thank you on behalf of the Maasai Daughters!
