Living on One’s mission is to build a more equitable and sustainable world through film.

Living on One A Project of Creative Visions Fiscal Sponsorship

Right now, your charitable gift to Living on One will help:

  1. Develop new films and action campaigns. We are currently working on a feature documentary about immigration in the U.S.!
  2. Raise awareness about global issues through the distribution of our films - Living on One Dollar, Salam Neighbor, The Change Series and Rosa - These Storms.
  3. Build out and distribute national curriculums that go with our films.

Thank you for being a part of our family. Together, we can change the world.

Our Impact

Our award-winning documentaries and social impact campaigns create dialogue, policy change and raise money for NGO partners working in the communities where we film. We are proud that for every $1 donated to create Living on One Dollar and Salam Neighbor, $4 has been raised for our NGO partners.

Extreme Poverty

Thanks to viewers of Living on One Dollar and Rosa - These Storms:

  • 1,600 people like Rosa have received microfinance loans through Whole Planet Foundation
  • In partnership with Mayan Families we've built two new classrooms, a pre-school nutrition center, a clean water system, and currently provide education scholarships in Peña Blanca, Guatemala!
  • Rosa's Scholarship Fund is sending Rosa to nursing school and two other women to university!

Refugees

With the launch of our film Salam Neighbor, virtual reality exhibit For My Son, and Google project Searching for Syria:

  • Ismail and Ghassem's families were sponsored to be resettled to Canada!
  • Over $200,000 has been raised to provide critical support to Syrian refugees via Save the Children, The IRC and The UN Refugee Agency.
  • 250,000 petition signatures were delivered by Raouf to world leaders at the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul where $90 million was pledged to provide education for refugees.
  • President Obama used clips from the film to humanize the refugee issue at the 2016 UNGA Refugee Summit

Next up: New Feature Documentary on Immigration.

We need your help to finish production and post-production of this film. Filmed over eight years, the documentary is a lifelong look at a young man's decision to come to America, allowing us to humanize and explore the root causes of immigration.

Thank you, from Living on One

We want to express our sincerest thanks for your generous gift! You're changing real people's lives. Please don't hesitate to reach out anytime! We love doing speaking presentations or Skype talks!
